Do you follow the FODMAP diet? If you have any kind of bowel disorder at all this diet may help you and improve your quality of life ten fold! It did for me and continues to do so daily. It’s my new food bible of recipes and aids to control IBS and other gut irritants.
What does FODMAP stand for you may ask? Fermentable oligosaccharides, disacchrides, monosaccharides and polyols. These are carbohydrates that are not fully digested and fully and absorbed into he small intestine and then go on to be fermented in the latter part of the bowel. This can cause gas, pain, discomfort, bloating, diarrhea. Lowering the intake of these items will help a lot – try it for a month. Tell me I’m wrong!
Lucy Whigham wrote “The Low FODMAP Recipe Book” and it is fantastic! I will include a few recipes periodically!
